Transportation and handling
The delivered roofs are standard, on wood pallets that can be easily handled by means of cranes or lift trucks. For manual handling the panels must be caught from the edges along their length by a sufficient number of people in order for the edges not to be destroyed and to avoid deformation that could lead to infiltrations. It is also forbidden to drag the panels.
Storage
It is recommended for the metal tile and corrugated sheet iron pallets to be stored indoor, in dry and well ventilated places, without high temperature variations. For short periods of time storage is allowed outside if the pallets are covered with canvas which maintains its color and allows aeration.
In both cases the pallets need to be placed on frames, at a suitable distance from the ground, therefore allowing discharge and aeration. The corrugated sheet iron, only zinc coated, without the paint layer, must be stored only indoors in dry places. If the metal tile or corrugated sheet iron pallet will be stored for more than one month, each panel must be separated from the others and well aerated. A storage that exceeds 2 months is considered a violation of the conditions specified in the certificate of guarantee and therefore, any subsequent complaint regarding the quality of the material’s surface will not be taken into consideration.
